embellisherVarric is a storyteller, and his favorite things to talk about are people he knows or has heard about. As such, I'm going to occasionally ask players if it's okay for him to tell a story about their characters. Varric's stories tend to fall into one of two categories
Exaggeration: Instead of fighting off a mugger, your character fought off a whole gang! Barehanded! If you count ripping a dude's arm off and beating him to death with it as barehanded.
Friend-fiction: Just plain made up. It can be either be of an epic sort (the story of your character taking on ghost pirates!) or of more...entertainment...value... (AKA smut. of the bad romance novel kind)
Varric will often tell these stories in person, or he might put it down in writing.
I WILL ALWAYS ASK YOU BEFOREHAND IF I CAN HAVE VARRIC TELL A STORY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER. I will clear the contents of the story with you first, and even let you read it if you ask.
This post is if you'd like to let me know that you do or don't want him telling stories of a certain nature about your character(s) or if you don't want him telling any stories at all! It'll mostly be a quick reference for myself what I should and shouldn't approach you with. Here's a handy form for you to use:
Your Name: Who are you? :o
Character(s): Who do you play?
Can Varric tell stories about your character(s)?: Yes or no. If you'd like yes for one character and no for another, that's fine too!
If yes, what kind of stories do you NOT want him telling?: This can be either a type of story, example: no friend-fiction! Or content you want to keep off limits, example: don't talk about my character's secret power.
